Master Bedroom

This room has had the least amount of work so far, except maybe the media room. I just finally settled on curtains after buying a lot of panels and then taking them back to the store. The color on the panels is a bluish grey, shocking I know. For some reason I have no inspiration in this room. The khaki color on the walls throws me off everytime. I would love to do a really large canvas on the wall behind the bed with the lyrics to our wedding song written out (Beatles, In My Life) like I have pinned on pinterest, but I can't write in cursive. Seriously it's really sad. My handwriting looks like a 2nd graders. I know everyone says that, but in this case, it's really true. Maybe one day I will get the nerve. This first picture is such a disaster. It was right when we first moved in, but my only "before" pic. And yes, that is a mirror sitting on the ground because I have no idea where to hang it. Such a disaster, the TV doesn't fit on the dresser, etc. This room is so brown, blah. All suggestions appreciated.

Finally got it together and painted one wall in the master. Love the black wall.  I added a couple canvases.  Still have a long way to go.

Getting it together

I was yet again, inspired by a pinterest post the other day to clean up my closet. I am actually pretty well organized but for some reason my closet is ALWAYS a disaster. My poor husband is kind of a neat freak and I am pretty sure the thing that drives him most up the wall...are my shoe boxes.
These are my shoes on a good day...
Here are my shoes on a bad day...

So I went to Target and found a little shelf on clearance for $17 and now here is my closet!

I still have quite a few boxes with boots and heels but it looks so much better.  Your welcome husband.  And now I have to get rid of these, it's a sad day.  Apparently (according to my husband) it is not normal to keep your shoes in their shoe boxes.  I am making my husband put them in our recycling, because my OCD heart can't take it.
Farewell friends, you have served me so well, but it was time for a change. Just an FYI, if you looked in my mother and sisters closet you would see the same.  Which means I may not be as crazy as my husband thinks or my whole family is crazy.

Vertigo Follow-up

My blood work came back normal, so I went to have an MRI on Tuesday of this week and my doctor discovered some thickness around my sinus'.  She thinks I have allergies and that is causing the dizziness.  The dr. gave me a prescription for nasal spray and she thinks this will completely clear up my vertigo. Who knew? I thought for sure they would come back with no answers.  I have been to this doctor a couple times about my dizzy spells and they have never figured it out.  If allergies have been the problem this entire time, that is super annoying, but at least it's hopefully fixed. I will pick up the meds this morning and have high hopes that this will make me feel normal again. Just wanted to let anyone know that might have a similar issue.

Pinterest Fail Turned Great

I decided a few weeks ago that since I finished my last class of the semester, I needed a project. So I went on down to the Home Depot and bought myself some paint. The original plan was to finally stencil an entire wall. I have been wanting to do this for ages and finally built up courage and read enough Pinterest stencil blogs to go for it. Well needless to say, it was a complete and utter fail! Apparently if the wall is textured the paint will inevitably bleed under the stencil. Which led me to my backup plan... I had to paint the entire wall. The paint I picked out just happened to be a shade of gray (my gray obsession lives on) but this time I thought I would do a dark charcoal. Well in our bedroom it basically turned out black. So now we have a black wall in our bedroom and I am telling you, I LOVE IT! Of course now I am trying to figure out how to paint my brown furniture. Ha! Always something. I ended up covering some old canvases with some leftover burlap that I had from another pinterest experiment and stenciling those instead. I still think it needs more but, here is the wall for now...What do you think?

Vertigo

When I was a little girl and my mom would do my hair in the bathroom I would get this weird light-headedness and have to go lay down.  Let me just also say I have the thickest hair known to women (hence the reason it is always so short now) and it got very hot in the bathroom with my sister, me, and my mom in there together trying to blow dry this mane.  It happened fairly frequently but once I laid down for a bit, I was fine.  Well as I got older and was able to fix my own hair it wasn't too much of a problem. I actually would wake up at 5 AM in Middle School to shower and get my hair done without fighting over the bathroom and was able to not pass out due to heat exhaustion.  When I was in high school I passed out at TGI Fridays.  That's right. At the table. Knocked over my ice tea on the way to the table, which of course is where my hair landed.  As if passing out in front of your friends at TGI Fridays isn't embarrassing enough in high school, my parents made me come home so I could go to the ER.  After a cat scan, MRI, EEG, a visit to the neurologist, and a 3 hour glucose tolerance test...they found NOTHING.  So that was fun.  Anyway enough of the back story.  Ever since my little pass out episode, I have dizzy spells. They are completely unexpected and usually last only a few seconds. Lately my little dizzy spells have been not so little...
I went to the doctor on Wednesday and now have to go back for an MRI.  Lovely, back to the rabbit hole. So I am telling this to everyone because I am curious. Anyone else have dizzy spells? Or am I just a total weirdo?  I feel that I will probably not get a response seeing as I am not sure anyone reads these, but just thought I would check.
